ReBar stole our wedding

Most of you are aware of the recent abrupt closing of ReBar in Brooklyn. This was our wedding venue. The owner Jason Stevens closed the venue, and walked away with all of its money. He has filed bankruptcy and being charged with grand larceny and tax fraud. As a result, hundreds of weddings are cancelled and we all lost our money with little to no chance of a refund. Peter and I are to be married in less than 2 months on July 13th. We paid for the wedding in entirety after saving for the past 2 + years. After 10.5 years of being together and waiting for this day, it will sadly not be how we dreamed and on the verge of not happening at all. But we are determined to celebrate the eternal love we have for each other. Our savings and wedding joy has been stolen by this heartless man that is Jason Stevens, but the start of our lives together will not be. It is hard for us to ask for help but we realize after a week of calculating and scrambling that we cannot do this on our own this time. We humbly ask for those that can please donate to help fund our wedding. This past week has brought a new meaning of love and caring that our family, friends, fellow nurses and coworkers have given us. You are all amazing and inspirational.
