Hi Everyone! By request, Dad and I have decided to create a GoFundMe account with the hopes of raising money for the mounting expenses.
As many of you know, my dad, Jeff Delrie, suffered a traumatic fall from his deer stand on Thursday, November 19th. He fell around 11:00 am and remained upside down nearly an hour before falling directly onto his head. The fall immediatley paralyzed him. Unable to move, Dad was not discovered until nearly 8:00pm that night. Thankfully, some fellow hunters/campers realized Dad had not returned to camp and took steps to find him. Dad was life flighted to Rapides Regional, which is where he remains at this time. His current diagnosis is incomplete quadiparesis amongst many others: broken back, broken rib, and compartment syndrom of his right hand.
Tentatively, he will be transported to Touro Spinal Rehabilitation Center, in New Orleans, this upcoming week. As you can imagine, the expenses are ever-growing and every little bit counts. My dad has been the sole provided for our family for over 30 years. This is a huge blow to them in every way. If you are unable to donate, please know you can still help by praying and visiting. Dad clings to each prayer said for him and each smiling face that has graced his hospital door. Thank you all for taking time to read his story and for considering a monetary donation.
