Bosnian Flood Relief Fund

Dear friends:
My name is Adela Hasic and I'm from Bowling Green, KY. I was born in Bosnia and have been living in the United States for almost 15 years. I am trying to raise money to help the people in Bosnia who have been affected by this horrendous flood.
The Bosnian government has declared a state of emergency after heavy rains flooded most of the cities within the past few days. This is the worst flooding disaster the country has experienced in 120 years.
The curent situation looks grave and people are in desperate need of clothes, food, medical supplies, blankets etc. Many of them had to abandon their homes and their belongings to save themselves from this disaster. Roads have been damaged, bridges destroyed and houses demolished by the heavy water and landslides. It just breaks my heart to see the people in my home country suffer yet again, as if they haven't suffered enough the last 22 years. I don't know how many of you remember the 1990's Bosnian civil war that took so many lives and displaced thousands of Bosnians who had to flee the country as refugees. After finally attaining some peace and stability the country is facing another catastrophe and this time at the hands of mother nature herself.
Therefore, I urge each and every one of you to help and donate to this fund please. You don't have to give a lot, even a $1.00 will suffice and will be greatly appreciated.
All funds will be forwarded to the Bosnian Red Cross and the Save the Children Balkan Flood Relief Fund, which are two reputable organizations that are working within Bosnia to help victims affected by the flood.
