Flood Relief Bosnia

My name is Milena Kremonic and I am devistated and frustrated, sitting here in California and helplessly watching what is happening to my home country. Bosnia & Herzegovina and Republic of Serbia have been struck with a terrible flood. I want to raise some money and help my country which has already been struggling with poverty, corruption and other post-war troubles long before this terrifying natural disaster.

Bosnia, Republic of Serbia and Serbia have all been terribly flooded by an unimaginative amount of rain these past few days. Many cities, towns and homes are completely under water and the help and resources are very limited. People are stuck hiding in their attics and rooftops just waiting for a rescue.

I have yet to hear from some of my family members and it is very worrying.

Phones and electricity are down in many cities and people are completely cut off from the world. A Flood this bad has not been seen in over a century and many have completely lost their homes.

There are lots of additional worries like undiscovered land mines resurfacing, health hazards, loss of jobs and destroyed agriculture. These troubles are yet to strike the unfortunate people. The flood is just the beginning.
