Please Help Trooper

Anyone that knows me knows about my passion and dedication to my horses.  To say that they are my life would be an understatement. Everything I have goes straight to my horses, as I consider them so much more than just a pet... they are truly a part of my family.

Four years ago, I became one of the luckiest girls when a horse that needed a home crossed my path.  The first time I looked into his big brown eyes, I just knew that Trooper was the horse for me. A lanky four year old, his goofy personality was a standout. As the years have passed our connection has grown, and Trooper has now matured into a handsome, big boy.  I can not imagine a day without seeing him first thing in the morning when I look out the window, or scratching his favorite spot last thing in the evening before I turn off the barn lights. He truly has captured my heart.

Unfortunately, our story has taken a turn for the bad. Trooper's owner has gone back on his promise and is threatening to take him from me if I do not buy him for a set price.  Due to a genetic injury, Trooper is currently unsound and is requiring medical treatment and rehabilitation. I fear that if he is to be taken, my poor horse's fate will not be good. The owner has already threatened the unthinkable. The thought of someone coming and taking my horse from me is crushing my heart, but I can not change this devastating situation unless I can pay the owner the amount he is demanding.
