Amber volunteering in Cambodia
Donation protected
Hello, I am Amber LeMaster.
With your help, I will be going to Phnom Penh, Cambodia for 6 weeks to become one of the first volunteer instructors for the Justice & Soul Foundation.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization created to restore hope in the lives of survivors of sex-trafficking in Phnom Penh, Cambodia by providing vocational training in cosmetology.
Over 30,000 young Cambodian women and children, some as young as 6 years old, are trapped in the horrible world of sex slavery. Our school will provide these young girls with the life and job skills to give them hope, freedom, self-respect and the independence they were denied.
I am a licensed cosmetologist at James Alan Salon & Spa in Shoreline, Washington where the foundation was established. I will be donating six weeks to the school. (8.13.14 to 9.24.14) I will be part of first team of instructors teaching and supporting the inaugural class as they begin their journey to a new life.
This cause means the world to me. Thanks to my Aunt and Uncle -who became my guardians when I was 15 years old- I survived an abusive childhood. I believe that people who have nothing can learn to take care of themselves, just like I did. Sometimes, all it takes is one mentor who believes in you.
Your gift will help me cover my room and board while in Cambodia, transportation and travel expenses. I am taking time off from my job without pay to be apart of this cause and will not be paid for teaching.
Please feel free to contact me

I was given a chance and now I want to help other girls get a chance as well. With Sincere gratitude, I thank you for any help you can give.
