Rosa's Dental Injury

Like many 14 year old girls, Rosa is an avid soccer player and loves her position as goalkeeper on her new soccer team.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2014, Rosa and another player collided during a scrimmage at soccer practice. While one player was working to kick the ball, Rosa, as keeper was diving for the ball. The other player's leg, just above her knee hit Rosa's front, top two teeth. One tooth and root came out entirely, and the other was pushed back into the roof of her mouth.
She immediately went to the hospital where they determined they weren't going to be able to save either of her front teeth.
The day after the accident, Rosa had bone graft surgery to prepare her for future procedures. Her surgery went very well. She will need several other procedures over the next 2-3 years to regain permanent front teeth.
The first thing Rosa asked the doctor after surgery was "when can I play soccer again"?
Like any family, these unexpected out of pocket medical expenses are a serious struggle for her family. Insurance won't cover the full costs of the procedures. Insurance will only cover a percentage and will have a maximum amount.
Rosa's soccer team and team parents are working hard to help her and her family in this time of need.
