About the cause
Severe historical flooding has resulted in Bosnia declairing a state of emergency as massive distruction of homes, streets, bridges, and businessess accoross the country is leaving Bosnian people helpless. People are left without food and shelter as their homes are carried away in landslides and completely destroyed.
Why support people of Cerska?
The flood has destroyed the roads and bridges that lead to Cerska, leaving people of Cerska completely detached from the rest of the coutry. The only way they can receive assistance is via a helicopter!
Cerska is a small town in the municipality of Vlasenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina the people of this town, my family and I among them, have been forced out of our homes and found ourselves in the Srebrenica enclave. Those that have managed to survive and return to the town have spent nearly 20 years reconstructing their lives, only to now find themselves loosing the little they have been able to pull together.
The donated funds will be transfered to a reliable organization and used to provide basic needs to people of Cerska who desperately need our help. PLEASE HELP!
