I'm taking part in my First Half Iron Man Challenge in Athlone on 3rd August and then running the Budapest Marathon on the 12th October to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
What's that mean? it means a 1.9km Swim, followed by 90km Bike ride and then a 21km run, or 70.3 miles combined challenge in one event. Then only 9 weeks later running 26.2 miles through Budapest.
Having only taken up running in 2010 this is a big ask, but for a very worthwhile cause.
The trust aims to alleviate the financial hardship of bereaved families repatriating the body (bodies) of loved one(s) who have died abroad in sudden or tragic circumstances back to Ireland.
In less than a Year the trust has repatriated the bodies of more than 25 Irish people who have died abroad to their loved ones.

Every donation, be it large or small, is massively appreciated.
