Hey everyone! Our life with Nova started August 24th, 2025 when we rescued her from a terrible situation. Nova came to us 20lb malnourished, full of worms, no vetting, and was shut in a kennel for who knows how long. Nova is almost 7 months old and finally found a place to call home.

I am making this GoFundMe to help afford the vet care she has needed due to the abuse she has endured. When we first got Nova, we spent all of our emergency savings to rescue and take her to the vet, and now we had to do an emergency vet visit just 2 weeks since she's been with us. Nova is on probiotics to try and help her body heal. What the vets have discovered is severe inflammation of Nova's lungs (thankfully we did not have to do surgery); we are keeping a very, very close eye on them. Nova is also having severe issues with her GI tract not functioning properly from the malnutrition. We are on meds to try and help Nova feel better and are due at the vet in another 2 weeks' time. Any help and funds go strictly to helping Nova.

I have included the emergency vet bill I was able to write a dated check for the 12th in hopes of raising the funds to help Nova. I also included in the cost a spay if anyone would help with that cost; it is $165 total so that Nova's body can heal and grow and never have to worry about pregnancy. The vets have also asked we switch her to a new puppy food to try, which is the Purina Pro Plan Puppy Large Breed food. One last thing we discovered at the vet is due to the abuse Nova endured, she does not have any muscle on her hips, causing back pain for her, and we are as well keeping an eye on that and doing what we can to build her muscle up.
