In 2022, my brother chief Terry Tyler, a Tallahatchie County Native, were enjoying their evening at Red Hooks Seafood restaurant to celebrate a relatives birthday, when a couple of guys approached and start to give the women a hard time. They were asked to leave and on the way out they were threatening to shoot the place. They didn’t know that a Police Chief was inside. Shortly after a women ran back inside screaming that the men had a gun. Mind you, Red Hooks didn’t have any security. The guy starts to shoot and Chief Tyler shot back. (Some details of this event can be thoroughly explained by multiple eyewitnesses; however, this is the basis of that situation.) Now they are just now indicting him.

I’ve known him all my life to protect and serve ON AND OFF DUTY. His whole life he’s given fair chances. Being an official isn’t about just locking ppl up, but for giving the proper justification they deserve. When is it “REALLY” ok to protect yourself and the ppl? This showed great integrity. You don’t take on that role for 20+ years of your life to watch ppl be unalived. Multiple ppls lives were at stake and not one police call would’ve prevented those shots that were being sent off at those civilians. This was a poor judgement to indict this man for doing what he was trained to do. The only thing Terry is guilty of is being a Hero‼️✍
