F*** cancer, ❤️ my father & family

First, I truly appreciate everyone taking time to read my request for help.
I have been a nurse for 18 yrs, and the past 10 years my specialty has been in oncology.
Cancer sucks. We all know at least 1 person~ someone, who has it, had it, fought it, survived, didn’t.
It is a cause very close to me. My mother is a breast cancer survivor, and now, my father is dealing with this.
This is a big deal~ my dad does not ask for help. Typical man. But, on behalf of my family, I am asking for help.
Despite treatment and surgery, he now requires radiation. Nearest facility is 1.5 hrs away. Daily for 6 weeks.
I am a runner, I am not fast, I will never qualify for Boston. My ‘running PR’ has been raising money for cancer research~ almost $30,000.00.
We need help. It’s that simple. We need financial assistance to arrange rides, gas, parking, meals, and hotels during this time. I need to take time off work to be home. So for 3-4 weeks, I will not work so I can help my mom at home, and drive my dad to his treatments.
Since quietly deciding to help raise funds to help our family out, my friends have been there for me. So generous, without hesitation.
With the permission of my parents, I can now ask here, where their family and friends can also help out.

Caring for a family member who is going to go through treatment is complex, and has many unknowns. I would like to have some financial security for us during this period of time.
