A Comedy from Will Houlihan

Dear Friends, Family, and Lovers of the Cinema, 

My name is William Houlihan, and I am a young writer and director from Portland, Oregon, currently living and studying in Los Angeles at the Loyola Marymount School of Film and Television. For my senior thesis I am directing a short narrative comedy that will be sure to inspire laughs, while encouraging others to think about what is truly important in life- of course through a series of ridiculous events centralized around Taco Bell. 

I am so blessed and lucky to be living in Los Angeles (where the summer and drought seem to never end), as it is my dream to become a director to share my stories with the world. Film has shaped the course of my life from inspiring, teaching and aiding personal growth to even taking me on adventures across the globe. While I have made several other smaller projects, this will be my first big production where I can inspire others how film has always done for me. I hope this film will connect with people of all ages, create joy and laughter, and spark new conversations.


This is where I need your help. Being in Hollywood, the reality of this magical world is that a budget is one of the key factors to a film. Creating sets, renting props/costumes, hiring actors/crew, and paying for locations will be costly. With the help of my amazingly generous community, together we can breathe life into this film. Any amount that you can donate to this creation would mean the world to me, as none is too small. I appreciate all of you and your efforts to encourage inspiration it more than you could know! 

The power of art has made a huge impact on my life, and I understand its grave importance for all to experience. As a result, I would like to give back to the community around me and provide more opportunities for inspiration. As a part of my fundraising, I have decided to donate 10% of all funds raised on this page to The Art of Elysium organization. This charity is dedicated to enriching the lives and connection between hospitalized youth and professional artists by providing artistic workshops and support to children battling serious medical conditions.
