RACE CF 501C3 Fundraising Campaign

RACE CF is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting Cystic Fibrosis and maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. The purpose of this fundraising campaign is to raise money for legal expenses associated with establishing 501C3 status for RACE CF.

RACE CF is an inspirational cycling movement that directly helps those living with cystic fibrosis. Additionally the program creates amazing opportunities for young dedicated racers, accelerating their maturity as individuals on a team and personal advancement as competitive cyclists on an international level.

RACE CF supports two young riders with CF, Manny and Tom Goguen in their dream of competitive cycling, a sport that has lead them to a new and better life. Despite the immense barrier of a disease that attacks the key components of aerobic sport; the digestive system and more severely the lungs, they have chosen to follow in their father’s and older brother’s footsteps in cycling.

The Race CF 501C3 Fundraising Campaign addresses Race CF’s most urgent need; obtaining 501C3 status, so that we can take the organization to the next level. This will allow us fundraising and partnership opportunities that are just not currently available to us as an entity not formally recognized as a nonprofit organization.

Many good-hearted people have offered to help with this effort. But what people can do in their spare time volunteering is often very limited, and we realize we need the priority of being a paying client with a law firm that can handle this project for us in a timely manner. That means we need to raise at least $7,000, and we’re hoping that anyone involved in cycling or affected by CF will be interested in helping us by donating or just spreading the word.

Any funds not used for legal services to obtain 501C3 status will go right back into our organization, to help those with Cystic Fibrosis, inspire and facilitate young riders, and help keep people focused on a positive approach to life.
