In Memory of Patricia Valencia: Aid for funeral, memorial, and emotional support expenses

It is with hearts filled with sorrow and sadness that we share the violent, tragic passing of Patricia Valencia, a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Patricia, who is lovingly referred to as "Patty," was only 47 years old and left a profound mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted, resilient, and loving mother of two sons of ages 23 and 14.

Patricia was at a bus stop waiting for the bus when a car drove onto the sidewalk and struck the bus stop, destroying it and hitting her and others.

This past weekend, on the morning of March 22, 2025, what seemed to be a normal Saturday turned into a tragedy. Patricia's only sister, Katherine Caro, her husband, and their two young boys had to catch a late flight from North Carolina to Miami to help with all the necessary arrangements this terrible and unexpected situation has brought them. Patricia's parents, now have to endure a parent’s worst nightmare of facing the unimaginable loss of their oldest daughter.

Patricia's family has not only lost a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend but also the much-needed economic resource and presence in her 14-year-old son. Her son will now have to navigate a life without a mother who, despite all economic and social hardships they had to endure, never failed to provide the love and care her children needed. In these challenging times, we want to come together as a community to support them and give them some relief as they navigate this new reality.

The purpose of this campaign is to cover basic expenses of cremation, funeral, and memorial services, and provide them with stability as they go through this painful process.

Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference.

Let us honor Patricia’s memory by helping those who meant the most to her. Please share this campaign with your friends and family to reach more compassionate hearts.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support!
