Baby Everett

I want to start this off by saying, I did not want to start this go fund me. I do not want to feel like I’m getting any hand outs or failing as a mom by asking for help. But I need to swallow my pride and realize this is for my son. Let me start from the beginning. I am 21 years old and just gave birth to my first child. My son Everett. He was a micro premature birth. I was only 24 weeks 2 days along. This has been the scariest and hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I was due March 27th of 2021. I was supposed to have almost 4 more months to prepare for little mans arrival. Things did not work out that way. I was working full time at a job that didn’t really care about me being pregnant. If I had to call into work because my stomach was hurting and I was uncomfortable and hurting. They would give me a hard time and threaten to take me off the schedule. So I busted my ass every day and worked as hard as I could to make sure I was setting my son up for a successful future. I ended up going into labor at work. I knew something was wrong. And I went to the bathroom and saw I had lost my mucus plug. I went on break and called my doctor and was told to go to the emergency room. I got back to work and was so scared to tell them I had to leave because I knew if the baby was fine and it was just a false alarm i would have had to hear about it and lose hours for leaving early. But I got to the hospital and was 6 cm dilated. Little man was coming and he was coming fast. I got rushed into emergency surgery to deliver him  knowing he only had a %45 chance of making it out alive  but my little fighter did it. He is alive and fighting. He is in buffalos woman and children’s hospital which is 2 hours away from my home. I need to be with him as much as possible to help his development. I got discharged the next day after my c section and had to get out here ASAP. I called the Ronald McDonald house and the Kevin house by the hospital to try and stay there. But due to COVID they are full to Capacity and do not know when anything will be available. So I went to my job to pick up my check. Which I had to deal with my rude boss who asked why I was there and  handed me my check and walked away from me. But I used my whole check and paid for a hotel near the hospital to stay at for 4 days and for gas and food during the stay. I have to go back home for doctors appointments for myself. So I will be going back and forth from olean to buffalo. As much as I possibly can. But without working and not knowing what’s going to go on with maternity leave or unemployment. I don’t know how I’m going to do this with the amount of money I have. I have been calling the county building everyday for help but it’s been a long phone tag waiting game. I’m scared for my son and I just want to be with him as much as I can. If anyone could help I would be forever grateful. It would help with transportation, food and a place to stay while staying in buffalo with him  he will be in the nicu for atleast 3 months if everything goes how it should and he can come home. And whatever isn’t used for his stay at the hospital will be used for things I need to get that I was unable to get in time for his birth and going to get an apartment big enough for us. This is a journey I wasn’t fully prepared for and I’m in need of help. Thank you for taking for time to read this. Much love.
