A Kidney Transplant for Tammy Curtis

My name is Tammy Curtis, and I was a high school math teacher for  16 years.  My life changed forever when I was diagnosed with kidney disease that quickly turned into kidney failure.  I have been on dialysis now for 4 1/2 years.  I do home hemo-dialysis 5 days a week for 4 hours per treament. I have recently been put on the kidney transplant waiting list.  I am fundraising to help pay for medical expenses related to the transplant.  I will be on anti-rejection drugs for the rest of my life once I have a transplant. These drugs can be very expensive. I am also raising money to help pay for travel, lodging, and food for my family during the transplant process. I have begun the testing process to see if a live donor can be found.  I plan to use some of the funds raised to assist the live donor with their related transplant costs like travel, lodging, and food.
