Dear friends:
Thanks to everyone who has helped with donations of cash and or time! I'm overwhelmed with gratitude.
My surgery was 6/5 and a great sucess by all accounts. I have been home since Tuesday 6/10. The recontruction process is pretty amazing...the doc has the proceedure down to 59 minutes, in most cases. My proceedure took 79 minutes due to the extensive damage!
While i pretty much have lost all bearing on time, my days are spent doing the perscribed exercises and using the Constant Passive Motion (CPM) device to keep the knee in motion to prevent scar tissue from builing up. Oh, and there is ice. Lots and lots of ice!
I am up to 90º felxion in my knee and quadracep strength is returning. Life is beginning to resemble...well, life!
My doctor still wants me to take two months off work and then ramp up slowly back to full time in month three (Mid-August).
As a self employeed marketing guy, i'm not flush with cash.
So, i'm still in need of help in covering some of my medical and living expenses for the ninety day's that i'll be less than 100%.
Your help will allow me to focus on my recovery and rehab. I'm eternally grateful for your consideration.
