Susan Curran's Recovery Fund

Susan Curran is an athletic 16-year-old girl who attends Weymouth High School. She is ambitious, caring, and beautiful from the inside out. Since the age of 8, Susan has been passionately pursuing her love of competitive cheerleading. She has traveled around the country displaying the skills learned from her many years of experience. Recently, Susan competed in Worlds Cheerleading at the ESPN center in Orlando, Florida. During her last few days, she began feeling ill but fought through it to finish competing with her team. After returning home, Susan's health changed dramatically. On May 1st 2014, Susan was rushed to Boston Children's Hospital by ambulance and had to have emergency brain and sinus surgery. Apparently, she had a severe sinus infection and the fluid had leaked into her brain and other body cavities. As a result of the severe sinus infection, Susan remained in the hospital and had an additional three major surgeries shortly after when the fluid returned. Two weeks later, Susan's health is finally improving but her struggle is not yet over. She is to return home with a PICC line for the antibiotics given and must have weekly MRI's to monitor the fluid that remains in her brain. This GoFundMe account is being set up to help the family of Susan Curran pay the large amount of money owed due to the medical bills for the 5 major surgeries, countless MRI's/Catscans, and the medical attention she will receive weekly at home.
