Hi everyone... friends, family, and supporters.
It’s me, Maria. Most of you know me as a friend, mother, student, and self-employed person. But I’m actually working towards something much bigger. I am currently a student at Arapahoe Community College in the Denver area pursuing my nursing degree.
I have been selected to represent my country and school at the International Scholar Program on Nursing and Health Care in Australia. I was selected based on my exemplary leadership skills and outstanding academic performance as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
By attending this program I will join other students from around the country for an life-changing midwifery exploration career program. This will be a powerful experience, enabling me to interact with respected professionals in various fields while building relationships with students who will be my future colleagues. Attending this program will enable me to further my interest in the field of healthcare and nursing and reach my career goals of becoming a midwife. This will be a big plus, and it will give me an edge competing against other candidates while pursuing my nursing and healthcare career.
