This was written by Jim Hand (Kathys Brother). One day everything is fine, the next day you're told you have cancer. Kathy, my sister, has been a nurse all her adult life.Working as a NICU Critical Care RN, saving so many children who were born premature or with urgent needs. She could hold them in the palm of her hand with some weighing no more than 2 pounds. She brought life and joy to so many, now she needs that care and attention. After losing our mother Nancy in 1994 to Ovarian Cancer, Kathy, now 52, took the right steps by having a complete hysterectomy to prevent that same tragedy from happening to her. Nancy passed at 59 years of age and now, Kathy is dealing with Renal Cancer requiring a complete left kidney removal. Her surgery is 15 May 2014 in Gallatin, Tennessee . Medical bills are already piling up and together we can help her and the entire family by removing the added stress of never ending medical bills that no one person can do alone.
