Mother. Wife. Friend. Nurse. Warrior. 

Amber meant all of these things and so much more to so many people.

After a long fought battle against leukemia and enduring a bone marrow transplant, Amber became infected with COVID-19.  Subsequently it lead to additional infections in her lungs requiring the support of a ventilator.  

I am her husband, Shaun and I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. We have two boys, Dawson and Kaden.  Both very active boys and love sports but especially hockey.  

Amber and I have never been finically well off, but have managed to get by. We have volunteered for numerous charity events and fundraisers in the past giving whatwe had most - time.

Sports, braces, life, a home are all things that were things we were managing together. Alone I will not be able to sustain them for long. 

Many people have asked me how to help.The best way currently is me asking: please consider making a contribution to me and the boys - to help cover funeral costs after saying goodbye to their mom, to keep them in their home for a little longer while I try to sort all this out.
