Dip for South Westmeath Hospice & Moate LGFA

Moate Ladies are an amateur sports organisation providing opportunities for females within the area to play Ladies Gaelic Football.
Our Senior Ladies team want to help a local charity alongside raising funds for our club, and decided to take to one of the many lakes within the Lake County. This St. Stephens Day, our girls will swap hill sprinting for cold-water dipping as they take try to conquer the freezing temperatures of the lakes.
HALF of all proceeds raised will be donated to South Westmeath Hospice. In a year that has hit charities hard, we want to do our part to support a local charity that does immense work and is very close to home. As well as their palliative care unit in Athlone, South Westmeath Hospice provides community based care for patients in Athlone, Moate, Glasson, Castledaly, Tang, Ballymore, Ballinahown, Mount Temple, Monksland, South Roscommon and the surrounding areas.
All donations are much appreciated for these great causes.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, no spectators will be permitted at the 'December Dip' in order to fulfill government guidelines.
