Help lay Teresa to rest

On January 20th 2018 our family suffered a devastating loss. 

I know that many people kept up with updates on Teresa Montgomery’s health. We had reason to believe that her health had improved and that she was “out of the woods.” Family and friends visited and had a few great days with her. In the early morning hours of the 20th, Teresa took another turn for the worse. It was evident that her body had been through too much and she just couldn’t fight any longer. 

People always go on about how their loved one was a great person. In this case, that just doesn’t do it justice. No words can express just how wonderful Teresa was. She was a mother first and foremost, above all else. It was a fight for her from the beginning and she continued to fight until she was blessed with two children through adoption. She loved Ben and Shayna so fiercely and unconditionally and would have given anything to make them happy. She was the best grandmother to her three grandchildren and loved them beyond words. They were the light of her life and she never wanted to miss a single thing. Even when her health was declining and her body was weak, she did everything she could to be there for us. Daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend...she was all of these things and she was the greatest. She was a woman of God and an avid member of her church. She was simply a phenomenal human being. This loss has s profound impact on so many.

No one ever wants to admit that they need help. Unfortunately, at this time, we (her family) truly so need some help. We admittedly did far too little far too late to prepare financially for something like this. We were sure we’d have more time with her and more time to prepare. 

Any and all help would be met with the utmost gratitude. We are beyond thankful for any help we receive, monetarily and otherwise.
