help us take care of Emmit!

Help us be able to afford to make the 920 mile trip to be with Emmit during his open heart surgery. Emmit has transpostion of the major vessels. Which means his heart after he is born will just keep circulating the same blood and not mixing. Without this surgery Emmit would not survive. As his parents we will do anything we can to give him the best chance at a normal healthy life. We did not find out about this defect until we came to the hospital at 36 weeks so we have not had much time to prepare for his birth and all he will need when he is born on the 26th of May. We will be out of work for up to 12 weeks during this. The money will go to travel cost, uncovered medical bills that insurance doesnt pay and keeping the bills paid so we don't lose the car and electric at the house. Due to short notice of our sons condition it has been a financial stressor. The money will also go towards whatever we need to buy Emmit while in Nashville. Any little bit helps us get our son the best care he needs. We love him so much already and just want to do everything possible for him. Update. Because of insurance issues the surgery was done in Iowa City instead.
