<div>Durch Bürgerkrieg und Ebola haben viele Kinder und Jugendliche ihre Familien verloren. Um diesen jungen Menschen einen Rückhalt zu geben und sie vor dem Abrutschen in Obdachlosigkeit und Kriminalität zu bewahren, gründete Abu Gbonda am 21. Juli 2013 das Sierra Leone Chapter.

<div>Das Chapter hat heute über 260 Mitglieder und veranstaltet einen eigenen Ligabetrieb. Mit seinen drei Standorten in Freetown, Bo und Bonthe wirkt der Club als Familienersatz, soziales Zentrum und Lebensmittelpunkt.

<div>Hunger ist in Sierra Leone ein Problem. Eine gemeinsame Mahlzeit im Chapter für uns eine Kleinigkeit, für die Mitglieder manchmal ein Rettungsanker aber immer eine Freude.
</div>
<div>Die Verbindung zu Hannover und 96 wollen wir pflegen und den Head of Chapter zu einem 14-tägigen Besuch nach Hannover einladen. Die Reise und Unterbringung übersteigt unsere finanziellen Möglichkeiten und mit dieser Spendenaktion hoffen wir diese Kosten nicht nur zu decken, sondern weit zu übertreffen um die großartige Arbeit des Clubs in Sierra Leone mit den Spendengeldern zu unterstützen. In den letzten Jahren haben wir mit Sachspenden und einem kleineren Geldbetrag aus unserer Clubkasse irgendwie viel zu wenig getan. Das soll sich nun ändern.
