Corneas for Keri (Transplant Fund)
Donation protected
For those who do not know me, my name is Keri and I have Fuchs' Dystrophy, Keratoconus and a very severe Astigmatism. Fuchs' Dystrophy as progressed as mine is extremely rare in someone as young as I am, and the combination of all three of these is just about unheard of. I was diagnosed in my early 20's and have battled this disease ever since. I am now 34 and it is progressing much faster than my doctors anticipated, putting my vision at risk. I have been in need of these surgeries for a couple of years now but keep putting it off due to lack of funds as well as my fear of the unknown. My specialist has never attempted this surgery before which has me very nervous but my faith has grown tremendously over the years and I am now ready to put full trust that God will guide my doctors through a successful surgery. This is where I now have to humble myself and ask for some help. Those of you who know me know that this is very hard for me to do. My insurance company is finding all kinds of loopholes and my out-of-pocket costs continue to climb with each doctor visit. I have a surgery date set for 6/11/14 and I currently don't have the resources to pay for it. I ask that you pray for me and help me keep my vision if you feel called to do so.
