Support Earline - Battling cancer

Today we are asking for your help for our friend and co-worker Earline Stewart. As many of you may know Earline has been living & trying to beat lung cancer for the last 5 years with small daily dosages of chemotherapy. She has been quite ill for the last 4 weeks and has not been able to return to work. The news I received yesterday was not as hopeful as we all were praying for. She now has brain cancer and dealing with an infection that has created a horrible rash on her leg. Earline will begin radiation treatment right away and even with that treatment she has been given 3-6 months to live. This news was quite devastating to Earline. She’s a single woman with two grown children. She’s so prideful, strong willed and not one to ever give up!! She’s been a true warrior and ready to do anything to beat this cancer. The reality is that her body has been through so much and yet her spirit was always of “I can handle this.” She is currently worried about how to pay for the electricity, water, gas, cell phone, etc bills. When I heard the worry in her voice I just knew we as a community of friends and co-workers we can and we should come together to pull all of our resources together to help her. I’m coordinating to see who is available to send over meals and or run errands too.
Many of you have contacted me in ways to help. If you want to contribute to assisting Earline in her time of need please do so now. Any monetary amount will be greatly appreciated, no amount is too big or small. I am sure she will appreciate anything you want to give. Above all, I ask that you hold Earline and her family in your hearts and remember them in your prayers. At times like this, we tend to be thankful and more grateful of our many blessings that we have. It’s our job as a community to help when we can because this could be one of us one day.
