UPDATE: Theresa's health insurance company canceled her policy without warning due to a pre-existing condition. So she will need all the help she can het to have life saving surgery.
At 31 years old, Theresa Lee was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She also find out she carries the BRCA 2 and MUTYH gene mutations putting her at very risk of breast cancer, colon cancer and ovarian cancer. Sloan Kettering (a cancer center of excellence) said her best defense would be to get a double mastectomy, hysterectomy and oopharectomy. This journey will take at least a year to complete. Additionally her family is in process of moving to Connecticut as Michael is in the Navy and will be stationed there.
