After 95 years of making sleep-away camp memories, the Dorothy P. Flint Nassau County 4-H Camp needs your help!
For 95 years, the Dorothy P. Flint (DPF) Nassau County 4-H Camp has been enriching the lives of youth in an atmosphere that fosters independence, leadership, respect, tolerance and positive self-esteem while having fun and making new friends. Campers unplug in our beautiful wooded, beachfront property and spend their days learning about the outdoors, creating artwork, playing sports and games, and learning on our working farm.
As a non-profit organization, it is only through the generosity of our donors that we are able to deliver high-quality camp experiences. Our donors help offset operating costs to keep the price of camp affordable for all as well as to provide Camperships for youth who could not otherwise afford to attend. We believe in the power of our youth and camping program, and want to make sure it stays accessible for future generations.
Reaching our 95th summer in camping is a truly incredible milestone for us! DPF Nassau County 4-H Camp has touched the lives of so many and hopefully will continue to for years to come. For our 95th anniversary we are looking to raise $95,000 to support projects and Camperships that will allow us to bring high-impact camping programs to more youth. These projects include-
Cabin & Facilities Upgrades: These upgrades will attract more campers over the summer program, as well as rental groups. This increase in revenue will be re-invested in camp and our youth development programs.
Program Upgrades: New engaging activities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) build the capacity of our staff to deliver world class enrichment that impacts our campers for a lifetime.
Farm Improvements: These improvements will increase our ability to produce food for our campers and expose youth to more learning opportunities on a working farm.
Campership Fund: Help us to fulfill our mission and bring educational, joyful summer experiences to youth who would otherwise be unable to attend.
At DPF Nassau County 4-H Camp, we are always striving to make the best better. With that said, we are asking help from our fantastic, supportive community to help our dreams become a reality.
