My sister-in-law Heather Caalim lost her battle with cancer this past Sunday on Mother's Day. She is survived by her sweet little boy Phillip who is only 5 years old. it breaks my heart that he had to lose his mama on Mother's Day.
She had non-hodgkins lymphoma. She battled this beast for a little over a year. She went through 10 rounds of chemo and 15 rounds of radiation. unfortunately surgery was not an option for her. Her mass was too large and too close to her heart. Eventually her tumor grew and multiplied all around her heart. The last month of her life she suffered from several mini heart attacks. And eating, drinking, and even breathing became a difficult and painful chore for her.
We would like to raise money to offset the high cost of her burial and start a fund for her son Phillip. So many people helped her on her journey and I know Heather would want to give back and help others. Especially other cancer patients.
