We are a family of five facing an urgent crisis and need help to relocate overseas before December, so we and our 3 daughters stay safe, together, and able to rebuild our lives. I am a medically retired Marine, and my husband is an immigrant with experience living abroad. Closing our small appliance store left us with overwhelming debt and imminent risk of losing our home and our truck which is our only reliable transportation. We must move to my husband's home country as soon as possible.
Our story:
We built a small appliance store in Mississippi on service, integrity, and five-star reviews. Last September we expanded into a larger market to grow the business. In early 2025 supplier disruptions, soaring prices, and shipping cost spikes crushed our already-thin margins. Within months we could not keep up with payments and were forced to close. Closing the store cost about $70,000 and left us with debts we cannot manage. We paid what we could but could not finish it all.
When the business was doing well we bought the truck we now rely on for everything from work errands to grocery runs and doctor visits. The truck was purchased for the business during better times and is now at risk of repossession, which would leave our family without our only dependable transportation.
The shutdown of the business has put our family at immediate risk. We are facing losing our house and truck in November. Our current online efforts are not covering expenses quickly enough. With three small children ages 5, 3, and 8 months, we must act now.
How funds will be used:
All donations will go directly to immediate, documented family needs:
• Pay down business and household debt, including outstanding business taxes, so we can leave with a clean financial start and avoid further penalties.
• Passports and airfare for our family of five so we can relocate before eviction or repossession deadlines.
• Short-term housing and basic necessities upon arrival.
• School enrollment and language support to help our daughters integrate and continue their education. Our daughters are English speakers and will need private school and language support when we arrive so they can transition and thrive.
How you can help:
• Donate any amount. Every dollar moves us closer to safety and stability.
• Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
Asking for help is difficult, but our options have run out and time is critical. Your support will keep our family together, protect our children's future, and give us a chance to rebuild. Thank you for reading, sharing, and helping our family begin again. God bless.
