I am Jacob Chrzan, an artist based in the Indianapolis area. I have created this fundraiser to extend my dream of a life devoted to nature and art. That is, in hopes to fund an 11 month stay in a cabin at Sculpture Trails Outdoor Museum as an Artist in Residence.
Sculpture Trails is an amazing non-profit outdoor sculpture park that is open to the public year round, but currently only has one month of active participants/maintenance. My job will include general upkeep and expansion of the grounds, work on the museum's commisioned projects, as well as giving tours and information to the public.
I have been offered free rent and utilities, but the museum currently is still working on being able to run a paid residency. Due to the museum's relatively secluded location and my lack of reliable transportation, a fundraiser seems to be the best way to ensure the museum gets my full attention and labor.
The money raised here will be allocated as follows:
Food - $2000 (about $50 a week)
Materials - $1000 (This is a rough estimate based on the rewards for donations)
Home Goods - $500 (soaps, toiletries, etc.)
Time - Whatever that may be worth.
