Giving back to Grandma

My grandma has given selflessly her entire life even til this day, even if it could potentially hurt her. She is one of the smartest people I know even at 79 years old... quick and has never been shy about speaking her mind.

She is also very reserved about a lot of things. (I believe it’s the Georgia woman in her to be so independent.)

Before the pandemic she was diagnosed with lung cancer (she’s never smoked a day in her life but a majority of people around her do), on top of already having 2 heart conditions and typical health issues that come along with aging. 

Radiation has ceased and the cancer has seemingly spread. At this age where infections hit her system a lot harder it’s unfortunate having to depend on certain amount of income etc in the US for what will/won’t be covered by medical insurance.

This woman raised me to be there for people and do for them effortlessly... at no point can I look back on my life and see where she has not risen to the occasion. Sadly, with that comes along those who may have taken advantage of her giving spirit. All in all, I really don’t have a goal with this besides gifting her back whatever is received/attempt to cover the things listed below:

- Medical co-pays or bills/expenses NOT covered by insurance (she is allergic to certain anesthesia, med combinations, generic brands, etc)

- She needs new flooring in her room because the carpet was removed and not replaced. 

- Warm & comfortable clothing just in case she becomes ill again and needs to be in the hospital!!!! 

- She loves the beach but cannot make it by walking in the sand herself or the means for a weekend away. 


Some of these things I (not always alone) can do for her but I am just one girl, reaching out & praying you can feel the energy of a woman who has impacted so many and is well deserving of a gentle reminder that she is UNBELIEVABLY loved. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
