11th Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony

On November 17, 2011 at 7 PM, The Long Island Alzheimer's Foundation in Port Washington will hold its 11th Annual Commemorative Candle Lighting, a moving ceremony paying tribute to the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease, both past and present. The event will take place indoors, rain or shine, at LIAF's headquarters, 5 Channel Drive, Port Washington.

To help LIAF continue its important work supporting families affected by Alzheimer's disease and related conditions, those who are financially able are asked to make a donation in their loved-one's name, as part of their memorial or honorary tribute. Donations can be made on this page or by phone at (516) [phone redacted]. As a local non-profit, 100% of funds raised stay here on Long Island. LIAF programs include support groups, early-stage activity programs, social adult day care, in-home respite, educational workshops, counseling, information, and referral.

LIAF invites family members and friends to submit names and photos of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, those who have passed, and remarkable caregivers past and present whom they wish to honor or remember, to be read and displayed during the ceremony.
