We are planning to remount our successful production of Tuesdays with Morrie in New Haven, CT on October 17 & 18, 2014! With a portion of the proceeds going to the West Haven High School Theatre Workshop Scholarship Fund, we hope to offset our costs through generous donations. Remounting the production at Yale's awesome Off Broadway Theatre (located behind Toad's and ironically MORY'S) adds expenses that we did not have at the West Haven High School location (rental, insurance, royalties, moving truck, etc.)
As many of you know, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE is the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.
This production was well received 2 years ago at West Haven High school with 2 completely sold out performances! We hope to fill the 117 seat Off-Broadway house for these 2 nights
