Help us Help Cancer Fams @ Blue Skies

For three years, my son Asher and I have been looking for a place to serve others as a family. A friend remembered this and recently called us to let us know of an opportunity for more servants on her team working at BLUE SKIES RETREAT this summer. Blue Skies is a ministry to families with a child with cancer.
On May 30, we are to show up for a week and serve these families to encourage them, give them a FUN & HOPEFUL vacation where they can relax and not worry about chores or doctors and can see and feel God's loving care in action.
My family and the others serving will do things like help prepare meals, make beds, do laundry, lead crafts and sports, babysit kids so parents can have a date night, play with the children and more.
Each family is asked to raise support. Our goal is to raise at least $5500 to cover our costs at the camp ($1200) as well as sponsor the families with pediatric cancer ($3000 per family) so you can help make this possible for them too if you'd like. We also can use $350 for gas (IN-FL), food, & supplies we need to bring (like an air mattress etc) and anything over these needs will help cover expenses for Blue Skies Ministries to run this incredible outreach to love on those suffering with pediatric cancer.
Please give however you feel led and, regardless, will you please pray for us now for God to prepare our hearts to be the hands and feet of Christ, deferring to others as we serve and bringing glory to God? Please pray for God to strengthen & fill us while there (May 30-June 7) and to use us to encourage the families who come and the other volunteers. So excited for this opportunity for the Lord and to get our minds off ourselves and focus on helping others!
