Sunday, May 4, 2014 Sergey Chepchugov, a friend to many and owner of Naples House Services, Inc. a handyman services company was fatally shot by a deranged neighbor.
All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to Sergey's widow and daughter.
It is difficult to imagine that he is no longer with us.
Sergey had many qualities that set him apart from most other people, and wholesomeness would be the first one. He was a man of the highest integrity, intelligence, kindness. At the same time, everyone admired his soft humor, unusual mindset and unique life experience. For all of us, he was a problem-solver, our home counsel.
With his degree in engineering, genuine interest in technology, he was able to fix any problem in the house "“ whether it is marble laying, or electric mal-function "“ he would know why the problem occurred, how to fix it and how to prevent it from happening again. He was rather a home doctor, than a fixer. He knew the house anatomy and physiology. For all of us - he was more of a friend than a contractor. We loved him, trusted him, we depended of him. He was always there for us: put-together, not talkative, and focused. He was very important part of our community, much younger than most of us, so capable, strong and reliable.
America has an ability to attract the best people "“ this is America's blessing. Sergey came from Siberia, bringing the best of Siberian character: he was reserved, peaceful, patient, and wise. There was something really dignifying in him, noble. Figuratively speaking, everything he touched, he turned to gold.
Sergey warmed everyone with his care, smile, and wit.
Every home he was taking care of was bearing his golden seal.
With his wife Olga, they turn their garden into real paradise, growing remarkable fruits and vegetables, always eager to share them with friends.
Everywhere we look in our homes, we see fruits of Sergey's labor, we are surrounded with his care, friendliness, skills, strive to perfection.
He is the one who is truly irreplaceable.
