Marilyn and her brain need your help

I brought my mom to live with me when my daughter was born almost 17 years ago and thankfully ,albeit totally oxygen dependant she is still with us today . Due to red tape process she is still not eligible for Medicare so all her medical expenses are out of pocket for me .. These are roughly $300 a month factoring in the extra power we use for her oxygen machine .

Back in 2010 I was diagnosed with a CSF leak and after about 6 weeks in the hospital and numerous blood taps,procedures and treatments I was finally able to go home . It didn't take long before the symptoms showed up and I was back in the hospital. Complications set in and I developed hydrocephalus.

Here I am today with 3 major surgeries under my belt .The most recent was just a month ago ..I had a shunt inserted from my brain to the heart - looking at another very shortly and I have been dealt the biggest blow to date. Due to my condition and time away from work I was forced to resign April 1 2014. I began the process of filing for medicaid and obamacare etc because I was now going to lose my health insurance.
I have since been informed that I do not qualify for medicaid and have appealed the decision .the issue is that my surgeon is not contracted with Medicaid and my brain surgeon is not something I want to bargain with....... i can can sign up for a really good obamacare plan paying $500 a month .
This is the road I am looking to take.

My disability payments have been been stopped again. It is a process which has really opened my eyes to the system . There is no help available.yes - they are retroactive but how do I support myself and family in the meantime??
i am fortunate enough to have the best roommate in the world but still does not cover my share of my own personal responsibilities......
as you can imagine being out of work for almost 2 years out of 3 .. This has taken it's toll on every aspect of my life mainly financially . I've exhausted any savings options I did have .

I am facing medical bills which stand at almost $12000 today.I am told I can negotiate that amount to almost half if I make a cash payment. Keep in mind that this is where all my surgeons are and I need for them to continue treating me. I currently am without health insurance but hope to be able to sign up for the obamacare by the end of this month which means I would be covered by June 1 2014. I would love to be able to pay my health insurance for a few months so that I can go ahead and have all the necessary revisions( surgeries) I need without worrying how I'm going to pay for everything. At least until this disability and medicaid battle is cleared up.

It has taken me awhile to muster up the courage to write this but I have reached rock bottom.I just don't know where to turn. I don't have much family who are concerned at all.

I am determined to get through this difficult stage in my life and be there for my baby girl who is almost set to embark on her journey to becoming an adult . She needs me healthy now more than ever .......
For those of you back home in my beautiful Cape Town I am more than desperate to come and stay when I am better . I can't think of any other better medicine than going back home to relax ....... That is high on my to do list after all of this is over ..
