A Tragic Accident which caused so much pain to so many...
It was around 5:00am on Tuesday April 29, 2014. Tsehay was walking to the bus stop to start her day near Kennedy High School on Randolph Rd. Tsehay safely crossed the eastbound lanes and stepped into the westbound side when she was suddenly struck by an oncoming Ride On bus traveling in the curb lane.She was rushed to the hospital (Sub-Urban Hospital) and immediately prepped for surgery to help manage the tremendous amount of cranial swelling. After undergoing surgery she was put on life support. Following a long and arduous week for both friends and family alike, Tsehay was pronounced brain dead and will be removed from life support in the days to come.
Tsehay, or "Chuchu" as she was called by those close to her, will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and the amount of love she showed to her friends and family. She worked two jobs in order to provide for herself and her mother who currently resides in Ethiopia. Due to the expense of travel, she had not seen her mother in more than four years.
Her friends and family are asking for your prayers and financial support. We hope to raise enough money to transport the body to her motherland, where she will be buried and provide a beautiful funeral service for a beautiful soul.
We appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support as we all come together to remember a woman we cherished and loved. At 34 years of age, Tsehay was far too young to be taken from this earth. She had so much hope to support her family. Any contributions to support her, and her family are much appreciated.
