Sponsor Martha to Visit the Convent

Dear Friends and Family, 
      Meet Martha (right) and her mother, Olga (left). Martha is a 15-year-old girl from the village of Mouila, Gabon (Africa). She is a very sweet, mild-mannered young lady, always pleasant and ready to lend a helping hand. There is something different about Martha---a certain extra sweetness and piety, that just exhudes from her cheerful smile and deep, keen eyes. While I was in Africa, she immediately became like my right hand both in the sewing workshop and bakery. I could count on her always being the last one left, cleaning and working while all others lingered to visit. While I am not trying to cannonize her, I can personally attest to her goodness of character and her desire to share in the richness of the Faith. 
        The difficulties that meet the young ladies of these poor villages are numerous. Martha is one of very few young girls of her age who do not have any children already. Her mother, Olga, gave birth to Martha when she herself was 14 years old. I couldn't help but feel the greatest sorrow and regret for Martha and other good girls, whose fates seem nearly inevitable in such a society of poverty and immorality. 
         My friend, the priest at the Mission of St. Therese, is trying to find financial sponsors to send Martha to spend the summer at the convent of the Adorers of the Royal Heart of Jesus, the feminine branch of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, based out of Italy. They feel she may have a calling to religious life, and hope that spending time with the sisters would help her discern this. The airfare and expenses simply for travel, visa, and passport will cost about $2000. Would you consider making a donation to this cause? I am asking this of my own accord out of my friendship with Martha, wishing the very best for her after witnessing how special she is. I would love to help her by providing the opportunity to discern her vocation. Regardless of the outcome of her discernment, God will reward you for your generosity! Will you help me help Martha? 
        We are all aware of the difficulties that face young people during this decisive stage in life...even without the poverty and moral depravity that run rampant through these parts. Whether or not Martha has a religious vocation (only God knows, and only He calls!), the opportunity for Martha to spend some time surrounded by beauty, true love, Faith, and just simple morality could very well change her fate forever.
