Serving 10 weeks this summer in Ghana

As you may know, I am currently studying at Gordon College, where I am working toward a Christian Ministries Major with a concentration in Global Ministry, a minor in Biblical Studies, and a second major in Business Administration. I am finishing my second year and so far I have found my time here to be full of trial, challenge, joy, happiness, and God's grace all mixed in. At this point I'm deeply desiring to pull my head out of a book and to gain some personal hands-on experience where I can put the skills and tools I'm learning to use.
God has given me an opportunity through one of my professors at Gordon College to go to Africa over the summer. From June 2"“ August 11 I will be in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, over the summer for an internship at a local church. The church, Foursquare Gospel Church, is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. I will embark on this 10 week internship through the guidance and direction of my professors in the Christian Ministries Department. I am really excited to have the opportunity to be mentored by the pastoral staff through my involvement in the ministry processes of the church. While there I'll be interacting with other branch churches as well. I also have the opportunity to get involved with churches in the rural setting. In July the church will be hosting some people from Nigeria, who will join us in missionary work in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, and I will be joining them to have a fresh experience in missionary evangelism. Furthermore, I will be involved in helping to organize and participate in a pastor's conference in Accra with some 200-300 pastors.
The cost of the trip is $2,622.00 to cover the cost of travel, visas, health insurance, vaccinations, and daily living expenses including food and housing. Thankfully, I have access to substantially discounted airline tickets, which significantly lowers the trip's cost. I fundraising deadline date is May 28. I would like to ask for your help in raising this money and would appreciate your gifts in any amount.
Most importantly, I would like to ask for your prayers for the duration of my trip. Without God's blessing the trip is in vain. Please pray for safe travels, personal growth and courage as God stretches me in new deep ways, the church I'll be working with, and for the people that the pastoral staff and I will be engaging with as we serve in the local church community and as we branch out as we engage in rural ministry. I apologize for having such a short notice and fundraising deadline. I just recently verified that I would be going on the trip and have been working hard to talk with my church host in Ghana to figure out all the details, in order to most accurately represent my trip in this letter.
