Please Help Kyle Fuchs

On February 22, my boyfriend, Kyle, was involved in a serious car accident on his way to work. He was stopped at a stoplight and rearended by someone going 45 plus. Kyle was rushed into the ICU, where he was in a medically induced coma for 4 days. The accident was so severe that most responders on the scene were not positive he would make it to the hospital alive. When his family and I heard about the accident we immediately rushed to the hospital to find Kyle under intubation. We were informed he was suffering from traumatic brain injuries. The doctor's explained that there were four brain hemorrhages and a shift in his brain stem. For the next several weeks to come, Kyle has been under treatment for his medical issues. He has been relearning how to complete his everyday functions, such as eating, personal hygiene and walking. He is now home undergoing outpatient rehabilitation, where their biggest concerns are his memory loss, double vision, impulsivity, ability to reason and decision making. The medical bills are piling higher than we could have imagined, and we assume there are many more coming. Kyle is out of work and will be for the foreseeable future. Throughout this whole process, the doctors and nurses have raved about how well mannered and positive Kyle has been during a not so positive experience. If you know Kyle, you know he has the biggest of hearts and works harder than anyone. Kyle is stubborn, he is a fighter: he's Irish. Kyle is getting stronger every day. We couldn't be more proud of his rapid recovery and determination. We are all hopeful that in time Kyle will return to 100%.

This is a time in all of our lives that we see our faith working more than ever. We see the love and support of Kyle's friends, family and god working miracles.  Our gratitude could never be repaid; we have been given the greatest gift of all: Kyle.
