For those who know Sherry Stuckey, you know that she is by any stretch of the imagination a “People Person” with her infectious positive attitude.  This talent has served her well as she has been in the hospitality industry most of her life.  She has used her talent to the fullest in positions of hotel management as well as working in the tourist industry.  Some time ago, Sherry was diagnosed with having detached retinas in BOTH of her eyes.  After three surgeries, the doctors have told her there is not much hope for restoration of her vision in one eye and are not sure how much they can do for the other one.  Notwithstanding this dire prognosis and with the added problem of frequent falls due to her impaired vision, she still remains positive even though she is now confined to her wheelchair. Sherry has wonderful friends that have helped her get around, but unfortunately, due to her very limited sight she has lost her job and has no income at all.  Others have helped as they could, but with bills to pay (house, utilities, medical expenses, etc.) and only with limited insurance benefits, she simply has a hard time making ends meet.  By nature, Sherry is quite frugal and can stretch her meager funds to their limit.  To make matters worse, just most recently her clothes dryer has broken she is in need of a new one as it is unable to be repaired.  So the time has come that much help is needed. We are boldly asking for at least one thousand supporters to take the Ten Dollar Challenge and to contribute $10.00 to Sherry’s Go Fund Me Account.  Naturally, we would be most appreciative if you would like to give more than $10.00, but we also understand the financial limits of people these days.  Your small contribution could help Sherry’s financial situation greatly for the time being which will give her peace of mind until a long term plan can be arranged. She has just learned that a new hearing date for Social Security disability benefits has been set for April 5, 2016 and we are praying for a positive outcome.  If you are unable to participate in this Ten Dollar Challenge, we fully understand and ask that you share this with others who may be willing to give. We also ask that you please commit to prayer for Sherry during this season of her life and in particular that her Social Security hearing goes well and she will prevail.

Thank you for your kind consideration.
