<div>Would you please consider helping me raise funds for a very special co-worker of mine, Casi,  Casi's daughter, CaeLee, is 9 years old and is currently battling stage 4 Kidney Disease.  She has recently been placed on the live donor list to receive a kidney.  I was unable to be be a donor, but I so desperately wanted to do whatever I could to try and lessen any burden possible for my friend and her family.  It's been less than a year since CaeLee's diagnosis and as you could imagine, not only the stress of finding out such devastating news about your baby girl, but to also have to keep up with the day to day of life.  In the short amount of time knowing Casi, I am amazed by her positive Spirit and beautiful kind heart.  Casi is currently the sole bread winner of her family and their biggest concern is making sure that their regular bills can be paid as well as keeping food on the table for her husband and boys while she's away. When CaeLee has her transplant Casi will have to leave her job for 5-8 weeks to live in Palo Alto so that CaeLee can be close to her doctors just in case she needs anything. Although Casi may have some sick time- there is not enough to cover 8 weeks  We all know the cost of living is so extremely high in and of itself, but then to add this burden while trying to be a supportive and strong parent for your child is just simply too much!! With prayer and getting the word out,  my hope is to be able to provide some relief of this financial burden for this sweet family. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions..

<div>"As our stay at Stanford Children’s hospital continued, CaeLee was diagnosed with Vesicoureteral Reflux or VUR. This is a fancy set of words that just mean that the valves between the Ureters and Bladder are broken, allowing urine to flow backward from the bladder to the ureters and in CaeLee’s case - the kidneys as well. Medical professionals believe that CaeLee was most likely born with this defect. Because CaeLee has been asymptomatic her whole life they believe that CaeLee’s body evolved to tolerate the reflux – causing unknown and permanent damage to both of her kidneys for the last 8 almost 9 years. CaeLee is still small and even with her kidneys only having about 13% function- she still looks healthy, THANKFULLY. As her body grows- even with her renal diet- her kidneys will eventually go into complete failure. Our hope is that we might find CaeLee a kidney before this happens."
