With a heavy heart we would like to update everyone on Steve’s progress. On August 30, 2018, after fighting for his life these past two weeks Steve has passed. We were hoping and praying he would recover from his injuries but the Lord has his plans for Steve. May he Rest In Peace.

All funds will be used for the funeral expenses of our beloved and dear Steve.

On August 19, 2018, 34 year old Steven Orozco was hiking with friends at Bonita Falls in Lytle Creek, CA.  While climbing down the fall he fell 40 feet and sustained major life threatening injuries. The friends he was hiking with were able to get to a location to call for help. The crew of a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s patrol helicopter spotted him unconscious on a cliff and had to call for a rescue helicopter to remove him via hoist.

Two rescue medics were lowered to him from the helicopter to assist with rescue operations. He was then secured into a rescue basket and was hoisted up into the helicopter, followed by both medics. He was flown to a local trauma center for further medical treatment and is currently in ICU fighting for his life.

Recently Steve has been in the process of making positive changes in his life. He enrolled and attends the University of La Verne, he successfully joined the Real Estate field for employment, he was seeking inner peace by participating in meditation, and when he wasn’t studying he was listening to motivational speakers to help keep him focused on his current path to success.

Many of us are still shocked and confused at this unexpected event, we are baffled as to how someone with so much life and promise could be in this situation. The emotional burden that this tragic incident has placed on his family has been tremendously overwhelming and we would like to help alleviate the addition of any financial strain.

We would like you to remember the love he shared in all the great times you had together, the times he made you dance, the laughs, the guidance he provided, and the times he was there for you. Anything you can donate will be appreciated. You can also help by sharing this link on social media. Tag any friends you think might be able to help. Let’s come together and do what we can to get him the help he needs during this difficult time.

Go fund me asks for a tip with your donation, they are already taking a portion of everyones donation and it is not required.
