Gift of Hope

Lauri and Jeff McCamley were college sweethearts. They met in 1991 and were happily married for twenty-three years. On September 28, 2018, Jeff lost his fierce battle with cancer, Lauri lost the love of her life, and their children lost their dad. For the past thirteen years, Lauri has been a stay-at-home mom to their beloved children, Jefferson (13), and Alana (10). As a newly single mom, Lauri needs some assistance. The medical bills have been substantial, and it would be great to help her have some financial stability while she seeks employment.

Anyone who knows Lauri, Jeff, and their children knows they would never ask for a helping hand—they’re usually the ones reaching out to those in need. I’ve known the McCamleys for eleven years, and I’ve seen them participate in church work projects, volunteer as part of MOPS leadership, teach in Sunday school, and more. They have generously served and abundantly loved those around them.

Some friends and I created this GoFundMe page to alleviate some financial pressure so Lauri can focus on her number one priority: helping her children navigate this devastating loss. The pain that Lauri and her children are currently experiencing will never completely go away, but our financial gifts can help them get back on their feet.
