Hi.  I’m here because I need your help. Even though I’m a very lucky kid: I have a Mom a Dad
and many siblings, I have a problem: when I was 45 days old I was diagnosed with a fracture and a tumor in my left arm. I’ve been wearing a brace ( splint)
since I was 2 months old but it hasn’t been enough to heal the fracture.
I suffer of Neurofibromatosis type 1, a rare genetic disease, and of congenital pseudoarthrosis of the radius, a very uncommon complication of the same disease.
The surgery I need consists in taking out both: the tumor and the injured bone replacing it with a bone from one of my legs.
This surgery is not done in Chile but it is performed at the Boston Children’s Hospital by Dr. Waters.
We are a middle class family but my parents can not afford the treatment which costs more than US$ 300.000
Including surgery, relocation expenses and the necessary stay for my recovery.
That’s why we, Simon’s
parents are asking for your help so that Simon can have the surgery to avoid that the tumor goes on growing and increasing the malformation causing to lose the mobility of the arm and hand. And thus, having chronic pain difficult to treat.

We have created a campaign called “ Give Simon a hand” so many people can help us
