Daniels Medical Relief

Many of you know my brother, Daniel.  He inspired me to join the Army, retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 2 and has since continued to inspire me and others to be better.  After being medically retired his wife, Nicole, of almost 15 years, and he decided to adopt two more children expanding their family.  Less than two years later, though, my brother has been diagnosed with clival chordoma, a rare skull based cancer that impacted several parts of his brain.  He had surgery on the 28th of September and now requires Proton Beam Radiation therapy.  In Dallas, there is only one treatment center that is fairly new and has limited experience.  The two best known Chordoma treatment centers are MGH in Boston and MD Anderson in Houston.  While Boston would be great, right now the goal is to get treatment in Houston.  Treatment ranges from 6-10 weeks, in some cases longer, and is daily.  We are trying to help offset the costs for lodging, food, and medical bills so that he can get the best care available.  To find out more about Chordoma visit, https://www.chordomafoundation.org/
