Fundraising Trip for Mom! (DEAAF/VUDC)

UPDATE: My mom's home was broken into while she was sleeping, and the thief/thieves took her MacBook, among other things. So I am raising the fundraising goal by $1,000 to account for this. Yes, MacBooks are more costly than PC laptops, but they last a LOT longer, and she needs a reliable machine as she does not have a lot of options for replacement and repairs in Zambia. My mother is headed back to the states for 3 months to fundraise in person for her Zambia-based non-profit organization Deaf Education and Arts for African families/Vision for Underprivileged Deaf Children.
But she needs a bit of help to pay back the round-trip airfare and take care of her financial obligations in Zambia before she leaves. $3,000 will cover the airfare, her rent in Zambia for those 3 months, and expenses while she's in the states! It's a little bit of money that goes a long way, but we have to reach this goal before she leaves Zambia so she can pay her rent in advance! Here's the breakdown: $720 for the rent $1,280 for the round-trip airfare $1,000 for 3 months expenses (room/board/travel) in the U.S.
Can you help? If 300 people donated just $10, we would reach that goal! While in the states, she plans to meet with various philanthropic organizations and individuals to secure ongoing funding for DEAAF/VUDC, including money to build a small school structure that will be owned and operated by the organization. (At the moment, she teaches in a rented house). Any donation, no matter how small, will be a huge help. Just as important is that you share this with your friends!
